When the world stood still, they stood strong. While shelves were emptied, they stocked them. While fear filled the air, they showed up day after day, mask after mask, shift after shift. Grocery store workers have always been the quiet heartbeat of our communities, but the last few years made thier role impossible to overlook. From the height of the pandemic to everyday struggle with rising costs of living, these frontline heroes never wavered. And now, it’s their turn to receive something back.
A new grant has been made available specifically for grocery store workers, a financial lifeline to help those who’ve helped us all. Thanks to Kendall-Jackson for pledgding $2 million to the Grocery Worker’s Appreciation Fund, administered by United Way Worldwide, this grant will be available through August 2030.
If you would like to support, you can donate as well.
